VPRO Tegenlicht SMART CITIES, Meet Up The Hague

This is a free event organized by VPRO Tegenlicht on smart cities. The evening will address questions around What is a Smart City? How can we contribute to make our cities smarter and more sustainable? Dr. Sarah Giest from the Institute of Public Administration  will act as a panel member during this event together with Robin Doorsman (ICT Manager, Lelie Care Group, Rotterdam) and Erik Schotte (Architect and Partner, LIAG, The Hague).

Invitation: Lecture on education under attack in Nigeria by Mausi Segun

On the 20th of April Human Rights Watch’s Nigeria researcher Mausi Segun is in the Netherlands and will present her new report on Attacks on Education in northeast Nigeria at Leiden University College. Segun has conducted field investigations in several parts of northern Nigeria, authored numerous articles and dispatches on the cycles of violence in Nigeria, the humanitarian crisis, the abduction of girls and women and violations committed by both Boko Haram and the Nigerian government.

Masterstudenten gezocht voor het LLP

Het Leiden Leadership Programme (LLP) is een extracurriculair honoursprogramma (20 EC) voor Leidse masterstudenten. Het doel van het LLP is jonge, getalenteerde academici hun eigen talenten én die van anderen te leren identificeren en optimaal te benutten. Het programma is heel flexibel ingericht; hierdoor is het goed te combineren met de reguliere masteropleiding. Ook voor studenten met een stage, co-schappen of een verplicht buitenlandverblijf in de master vinden we een oplossing.
